Who We Are

Bridge2MD is a physician-led advisory service that helps families navigate BS/MD and BS/DO combined degree programs. This website is operated by Rory Merritt, MD (“Bridge2MD,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) and is located at bridge2md.com.

Information We Collect

We collect information in the following ways:

• Information you provide directly: When you submit the Where You Stand assessment, request the Program Guide, purchase a service, or contact us, you may provide your name, email address, and information about the student’s academic profile.
• Payment information: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers. Stripe’s privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy.
• Usage data: We automatically collect information about how you interact with this site, including pages visited, time spent, clicks, and referring URLs. This is done through the tools described below.

Analytics and Tracking Tools

We use the following third-party tools to understand site performance and improve our services:

• Google Analytics 4 (GA4): Tracks page views, user behavior, and site engagement. Data is processed by Google. Google Privacy Policy.
• Google Tag Manager: Manages the deployment of analytics and conversion tracking scripts on this site.
• Google Ads: We run paid search advertising. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site. You can opt out via Google Ad Settings.
• Microsoft Clarity: Records anonymized session replays and heatmaps to help us understand how visitors use this site. No personally identifiable information is captured. Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Email Communications

If you provide your email address to receive the Program Guide or other communications, your email will be added to our mailing list managed through Kit (formerly ConvertKit). You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send. Kit’s privacy policy is available at kit.com/privacy.

We do not sell, rent, or share your email address with third parties for marketing purposes.

Where You Stand assessment data

When you complete Where You Stand, we collect your responses including email address, student grade year, GPA information, testing status, clinical experience, and other inputs used to generate your result. This information is used solely to provide your Where You Stand result and to follow up with relevant guidance. It is stored securely and is not shared with third parties.

Cookies

This site uses cookies to support analytics and advertising functions. These include first-party cookies set by Google Analytics and third-party cookies set by Google Ads. By using this site, you consent to the use of cookies in accordance with this policy.

You may disable cookies through your browser settings. Doing so may affect the functionality of some features of this site.

Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with our obligations. Email subscribers may unsubscribe at any time. To request deletion of your data, contact us at rorymerritt@bridge2md.com.

Children’s Privacy

This site is intended for use by parents and guardians. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from individuals under the age of 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.
